SchoolRooms is Web-based learning portal and service - designed to help students explore, discover and learn, and it includes resources for parents, teachers, and librarians. SchoolRooms integrates thousands of pages of multimedia content, Web links, other resources and powerful search capabilities - all organized around the K-12 curriculum.
San Diego SchoolRooms, with funding provided by the California State Library, is now available to all residents of San Diego - by using an San Diego Public Library Card. Students, parents, librarians, and teachers, now have access to thousands of online educational resources organized around their school curriculum. The Library will work closely with its partner, the San Diego Unified School District, to promote the usage of SchoolRooms in the school systems.
"We are pleased to offer SchoolRooms to students as an additional resource to help them achieve success with their homework. It is a great complement to our online 'Live Homework Help.' We are working closely with the San Diego Unified School District to make more students, parents and teachers aware of these valuable resources." - Anna Tatár, director of the San Diego Public Library.
"I look forward to seeing the exciting collaboration between school and public libraries that SchoolRooms can foster. Resources abound for our students - we just want to make sure they know where and how to find them! " - Susan Hildreth, State Librarian of California.
